Purpose built facility?

Why is that important ? Rodents are one of the biggest risks to cars in storage.  Many older buildings are not rodent proof and rodents love the opportunity to make themselves a cosy little home in the nooks and crannies within your vehicle. This can lead to wiring damage, feeding on the materials, carpets, leather or the wood, all expensive and  typically inconvenient to repair.

The core building structure not only adds to the environment control but a new build adds to the security aspects over and above the installed cameras, alarm and sensors.

Dehumidification?

We have invested in a digitally controlled, commercial grade unit that keeps the storage environment at the ideal humidity 55 (% RH). Why is this important ? 55 (% RH) is the ideal range that will literally stop degradation of the most common materials in vehicles. Higher than this corrosion will start to occur on the steel work and brightwork, electrical and rubber. Below this band, leather and rubber will start to dry out, potentially crack and perish.

When selecting your storage service It is important to also note the buildings volume of air capacity and air turns rates to ensure high performance and therefore the protection of your vehicle. In our experience many get this wrong relaying on small portable units that have no real world effect.

Security?

It’s important to say that our security  systems are fully endorsed by our insurance company, Classics Limited, Vehicle Insurance specialists. This is backed up by police and fire emergency services. For security reasons we don’t openly list the  detailed specification but rest assured it’s a Grade 3 level alarm system,  the highest grade available together with IP, high resolution cameras. We would be happy to demonstrate our full site and building security when you visit us.

Access?

We are easy to find just 10 mins from J16 M4, convenient from Swindon, Newbury, Devizes, Chippenham Bath and Bristol. You  also do not have to travel any distance down mud or farm tracks.

Are your commercial terms flexible?

We believe our rates are reasonable when especially when compared to the quality of our facilities and care that we offer.  In our survey and experience of competitors storage we often found the advertised price was not the real price. We also found the quality of the storage facility varies enormously. Sometimes the devil is in the detail , unlike some companies we don’t ask for an upfront payment that’s the equivalent of several months storage. We will invoice you on a month basis at the end of a month together with any extra services that you have authorised. If you have any different requirements or questions please ask.

Do you store Classic Cars?

Yes. We store cars of all types.

Do you store Motorcycles?

What day can I bring my car in?

We’re typically open Monday to Friday 09.00 – 17.30 and Saturday 09.30 – 12.30. We are flexible so contact us for other options.

I live and work Overseas. I come back 2/3 times a year and would need my car delivered to the airport, is this a service you provide?

Yes, we can deliver or collect a car from anywhere, UK or Europe To discuss our service please contact us.

Can I access my car whilst in storage?

Yes of course, its your car. Our aim is to provide “on the button storage” this means you car is ready for you when you want it. Unlike some companies we don’t ask for 3/5 days notice to get your car back. We simply ask you to pre arrangement. We try to be as flexible as possible, our aim is to give you access when ever you want it.

How much electricity is the battery charger likely to cost me per month?

This is included in our service.

Are facility indoors, dry and secure?

Yes. Our building is fully insulated and purpose built to a high standard. We provide a very high quality environment and service for you car. Your car will be stored safe and sound.

Do you do discounts for multiple cars?

Do you collect or pick up vehicles?

Yes, we can arrange transportation for vehicles coming into or departing store with us from in the UK and beyond. Contact us to discuss your needs.

Can I come and visit before I book a space?

Yes, of course. Please use the contact form to arrange an appointment or call us.

How do I find you ?

We are easy to find, just 10 mins from M4/j16. We keep our location low profile to aid security but will supply an address and map when we confirm your appointment. Please use our form to arrange an appointment or call us we are always happy to talk.

Do you hold insurance against accidental / fire damage?

Yes, we are insured with Classics Ltd. Your car is fully insured for all risk whilst it is in our care and keep be that storage, driving or transportation. Remember you will need to maintain insurance for driving your own car, for any trips out of storage.

Do you store trailers?

No, sorry. We use up all available storage space for cars and motorbikes.

Do you store modern motorhomes, caravans, speed boats or lorry trailers?

No.

I was wondering if there was any flexibility on the minimum of 2 months storage?

Typically no, however, if we can help we will try.

My car doesn’t drive, can I still store it with you?

Possibly, on occasions we do store some race prepared cars. We prefer cars to be in reasonable working order.
